China Jingdezhen International Ceramic Fair (hereinafter referred to as"China Ceramic Fair ") is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce ofthe People’s Republic of China, China National Light Industry Council, ChinaCouncil for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and JiangxiProvincial People's government. It is an international exposition which integratesthe professional exhibition, cultural exchange and products trading of theceramic industry. The China Ceramic Fair has been successfully held for manyyears and has gradually developed into a ceremonious international event and aneffective trading platform for ceramic industry and deeply promoted theexchange and cooperation in the trade, culture and technology of ceramics inthe world.
The COVID-19 epidemic has swept across the world this year and causedserious impact on the economic and social development of the world. The shortsupply of raw material, disruption of logistics and transportation, decline ofmarket demand, interruption of industrial chain and supply chain, and obstacleto the flow of senior executives and technical personnel of various companies causedby the epidemic have brought great challenges to the operation and developmentof all economic sectors, including the ceramic industry.
To actively address the adverse effects of the epidemic, stabilize andpromote the international cooperation and development of China's ceramicindustry under the new situation, China Ceramic Fair will be held from October18 to 22, 2020. Commissioned by the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministryof Commerce, Trade Development Bureau will cooperate with CCPIT on “ChinaCeramic Industry International Development and Cooperation Forum & OnlineMatchmaking Conference” (hereinafter referred to as the “matching conference”).With the theme of "strengthening international cooperation in the ceramicfield and promoting the upgrading of the industrial chain", the conferencewill invite government departments and well-known ceramic enterprises andindustrial institutions from Germany, Isreal, Ukraine, etc. and Jiangxi, Hebei,Shanxi, Fujian, etc. in China to participate, analyzing the development trendsand characteristics of ceramic industry in various countries and regions,promoting and exchanging new materials, new technologies, new techniques inceramic industry, sharing experience and displaying achievements, and carryingout one-to-one online networking in terms of ceramic products trade, technicalexchange and investment projects, etc., and jointly exploring the innovativedevelopment model and path of the ceramic industry under the background ofnormalized epidemic prevention and control. It is estimated that 150-200 peoplewill participate in the online conference.
